About Sun Outdoors Pigeon Forge

Sun Outdoors Pigeon Forge offers a premium camping experience that combines the best of outdoor living with resort-style amenities. Located in Sevierville, just minutes from the main Parkway attractions, this RV resort and cabin destination stands out for its peaceful river valley setting.

The centerpiece is a family-friendly water complex featuring a lazy river and heated pool - perfect for year-round swimming. Adventure seekers will appreciate the aerial park, which includes 56 different obstacles and 5 zip lines (available for an additional fee). For those traveling with pets, the expansive dog park provides plenty of space for four-legged family members to run and play.

RV sites are fully leveled and include full hookups, while the cabin accommodations offer comfortable alternatives for non-RV travelers (note: bring your own linens for cabin stays). On-site amenities include a well-equipped gym, basketball court, and playground for younger guests.

The location strikes an ideal balance - you're close enough to reach major attractions within minutes but far enough to escape the tourist bustle.

The resort's staff is known for their proactive problem-solving and guest service, often going above and beyond to ensure comfortable stays. Don't Miss

Lazy River and Pool Complex

The heated outdoor pool, lazy river, and kids' splash pad are honestly the main draw here. We've spent entire afternoons just floating around while the kids play. The hot tub is perfect for evening relaxation after hiking in the Smokies.

Aerial Adventure Park

This on-site zip line and obstacle course has 56 different challenges spread across 5 zip lines. It's way more extensive than we expected and kept our teenagers busy for hours. Just budget extra since it's not included in your stay.

Massive Dog Park

The fenced bark park is huge - probably the best dog facility we've seen at any campground. Our dogs made friends immediately, and it's completely secure so they can run off-leash safely.

Riverside RV Sites

All the RV sites are level (thank goodness), but the ones along the river are special. You get the sound of flowing water and more privacy from neighbors. They're the same price as interior sites if you request them early.

Game Room and Indoor Activities

The game room saves the day during rainy weather with arcade games, pool tables, and seating areas. There's also a small fitness center and clean laundry facilities that actually work well.

Location Near Pigeon Forge

You're literally minutes from Dollywood, dinner shows, and all the Pigeon Forge attractions, but the resort itself feels quiet and separate from the tourist chaos. Best of both worlds for families.

Know Before You Go

  • Bring your own linens for cabin stays - sheets, towels, and pillows aren't provided

  • The aerial adventure park costs extra and requires closed-toe shoes
  • Summer weekends get busy - arrive early for pool chairs and adventure park slots
  • Large fenced dog park available, but bring leashes and cleanup bags for walks
