The overlook is open year-round, 24/7, with no entrance fee. There's enough parking for about 8-10 vehicles, though it can fill up quickly during peak leaf season and sunset hours. While Woolyback Overlook is perfect for photography and peaceful contemplation, it's important to note what isn't here: you won't find restrooms, picnic tables, or developed trails. The elevation and exposed location mean it can be significantly cooler and windier than in Maggie Valley proper, so bring an extra layer, especially for sunset viewing.
