Country Cascades Waterpark Resort

The new indoor waterpark is honestly what makes this place worth considering — Braxton Beaver's Shipwreck Bay just opened with 300-foot slides that had our teenagers actually putting their phones down. The zero-entry splash pad keeps toddlers happy while parents can chill in the warming spa. It's heated year-round, which is clutch when it's 40 degrees outside but your kids are still begging to swim.

We walked to The Island for dinner our first night, maybe 8-9 minutes tops, which saved us from dealing with Parkway traffic. The free parking is a bigger deal than you'd think — most places around here charge $10-15 per night. Room keys work as waterpark passes too, so you're not juggling a bunch of cards.

The rooms are... fine. Clean enough, but don't expect luxury — the AC units are loud and the shower heads are weirdly low if you're over 5'8". Our pull-out sofa was pretty uncomfortable, but honestly we spent most of our time at the waterpark or arcade anyway.

They've got bowling, rock climbing, laser maze — basically everything to keep kids busy when they're waterlogged. The outdoor waterpark opens May 22nd if you're visiting in summer, giving you even more space to spread out. Staff runs hourly activities like crafts and dance parties, though the schedule changes daily so ask at the front desk.

One thing though — pool hours end at 11pm sharp, and they mean it. We learned that the hard way when security came around at 10:55 asking everyone to wrap up.
