Flapjack's Pancake Cabin

Flapjack's sits right on the Parkway in Sevierville, and honestly, it's one of those places we keep coming back to even though we've tried every pancake joint in the Smokies. The river rock fireplaces and cabin atmosphere feel authentic — not the fake mountain theme you get at some tourist spots.

Their Sticky Bun Pancakes are ridiculous. Like, they literally taste like cinnamon rolls in pancake form, topped with icing and pecans. We always grab the recipe cards they have sitting by the register because people ask us about them constantly. The portions are huge too — Shandi and I usually split a stack and still take leftovers home. Oh and they do gluten-free pancakes if that's your thing, which is harder to find than you'd think around here.

Here's the catch though — they're only open Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 1 PM. Closed weekends completely. I can't tell you how many disappointed tourists we've seen standing outside on Saturday mornings. If you're visiting during the week, get there right at 8 or you'll wait forever. After 10 AM the line gets crazy, especially when Dollywood's busy.

One thing I love is they do online ordering for pickup now. Game changer during peak season when everyone's trying to squeeze breakfast in before hitting the trails. The parking lot fills up fast but there's usually a spot if you're patient.

The Honey Dipped Chicken and Waffles is solid too, though honestly once you try those Sticky Bun Pancakes everything else feels like second choice.
